It's no rocket ship compared to big sports bikes but it's still capable of riding on the highway faster than all the cars are going and keeping it up all day long. 110 km/h will be no where near redline, if it had a tachometer (which I'm guessing it doesn't).
I personally wouldn’t take a 250 on the freeway. Find a well maintained Honda Shadow 750, they’re the perfect first bike if you want a cruiser imo. Mine was getting 55-60mpg when I had it as my first bike. The Rebel 500 is good too, it’s not a typical cruiser with a v-twin, it’s cruiserish.
