Director Hiroshi Hamazaki was a veteran animator on well-known classics like Ninja Scroll, Metropolis, and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust.
This sequel to the sequel will likely thrill action movie and Iron Man fans with its high-flying stunts and Tony Stark humor. However, plot holes and predictability keep Iron Man 3 from taking the franchise to new heights. Note: As with all Marvel movies, audiences will want to stay until after the credits end for an extended clip.
When she withdraws her hand, it’s loaded with slime. As Iron Man, Stark takes out dozens of bad guys via guns, missiles, flamethrowers and sheer brute force. A couple are killed when they open a booby-trapped door. One ends up killing himself by firing at Iron Man: The bullet bounces back and hits his head.
A shoddily-paced beginning, confused performances, and motivations that aren't properly executed are an ominous start, especially given that there is nothing about Tony Stark that takes the plot forward. RDJ is suitably reliable, and Paltrow is back, after an utterly confusing performance in Iron Man 2, and kicking ass. Then, Ben Kingsley arrives.
